Very pretty tote and so unique on how you used the selvages. Great idea.

I followed the pattern directions using fusible fleece. I use fusible fleece in this bag pattern, too. https://wpcreek.com/collections/new-...six-pack-stack One side note on this bag is make sure it is a true FQ size as stated in pattern or better yet, cut from stash. This bag goes super quick but .... I was thinking of using diagonal selvage panels for the pockets. http://sewdelicious.com.au/2015/05/h...-tutorial.html

One more idea on selvage project from Sara (inspiring and energetic presentation)... https://sewsweetness.com/2017/10/vid...v=7516fd43adaa She links a YouTube video but before you view the video, you can view and download her pattern instructions by clicking on the BLUE text as she directs. She uses foam interfacing in this pouch as it makes the pouch much firmer. I used the Pellon foam product from Joann's.

Default Selvage pouches

I've assigned myself the task of making a selvage pouch for each member of the 2.5 inch charm square swap. I went a different direction and decided to put together pouches based on the color of the selvages. I am about half way through the year and they are a lot of fun. The selvages are sewn onto what becomes the lining, across the diagonal. I am saving the 3 inch part I cut off of each to make a future quilt.

I saved selvages for several years and found I really liked the way different color groups looked together. I always have several laid out and I use various stitches to quilt the back portions together.

Oh, I like that. It's really cute. That's a great way to use up shorter lengths. I'll keep this in mind.
