Thanks, both. I’ve finally got it together and quilted. I’m waiting until the shops reopen to buy a zip.

I love her quilts, but not the booklets.....all printed in light grey copy, hard to read. All information could have easily been in much larger font size....I challenge anyone to read her page numbers without a magnifying glass. She could have easily made the page numbers one inch tall. Also, all of her so called templates are not templates for the pieces in the block. She has the four inch blocks shown with lines drawn inside the squares for each of the pieces....some info, it indicates you have to add seam allowance onto these pieces.....however you have to use a light table to draw the pieces on something else, separate the pieces, add your seam allowance.....then you see in the pattern that she wants you to cut on the lines....but not on all pieces......are you getting the idea here.....When I pay this much for a pattern, I expect clear information, and an easier process for piecing.....lots of work before you even make it to your machine. Still love her quilts.

Which pattern are you talking about Lady Diana? I don't recognize those things you're saying. The templates I have are accurate and easy to use. I know lots of people have difficulties with her patterns because of the way she writes the instructions.

I just saw a stunning Bakers Dozen on Facebook. I've asked the lady permission to post it here. Fingers crossed.

you are absolutely spot on....my friend and i are doing "my small world" and all the above is true. You'd think for the price she gets for her patterns she'd put a little more thought into her wiritings and font print.

Y'all are so right. Her patterns are difficult but oh so worth the effort. I started with the Gypsy Wife quilt along on Facebook a few years ago. The most beneficial thing I learned is to write all over the book. Page numbers, unfinished sizes, directions, all noted in a heavy pen. I also substitute blocks when I can't figure one out.

Default My Small World

Updating photo of what myself and Nita are doing via skype each mth on “My Small World”...Each mth we do a section and then do show/tell over skype and discuss what we see in our own ways the potential of next section. Nita is taking poetic license on the design of some blocks. I’m sticking to the pattern ...
First one on left is Nita
Second on right mine

I love both yours and Nita's. How many sections have you both done?
