Default Double Slice Layer Cake in earthtones

I just finished one of two twin sized quilts that will go in a room that has a gold carpet and a Bargello wall hanging with brown and cream fabric. I am very pleased with this project.

The pattern is Double Slice Layer Cake and I used 20 fabrics I had to make the layer cake. I am currently on a roll of mainly making this pattern. It goes together so fast and I am never disappointed with the results.

Thanks for looking.

Dina

This quilt looks like a lot of fun! You did a grand job on it and the colors will go with the room you have described perfectly I love your color choices so much. Will the other one be identical or will you be setting the next one in a different arrangement of the blocks? I am sure it will be as perfect as this one!

Pretty colors in your quilt. That's always a favorite pattern to make.

Very good! I have only made one neutral/brown quilt when I offered a selection of quilts to my son's friends for graduation, it was the very first to go! I need to make another one, double slice was a perfect pattern.

The second one will be identical, more or less. The blocks will probably be just as randomly placed. . I have made several sets of quilts for this room, and the one time I made the quilts different I was just not as pleased with the say they looked.

Great looking quilt! A green accent (plants?) in the room would add some contrast and be a good addition.

Very perfect for your room. It is great the way you were able to use the layer cake and get such a nice allover mix of color placement.
