I would love something like that! I currently use a spare bedroom, about 10X11 feet and it is very crowded with fabric, books, piecing machines, and a Tiara sit-down machine. I've been eyeing the other spare bedroom as a second space, but don't tell my husband. We have talked about finishing our basement but can't justify the $20K at this time, and our neighborhood would never approve a she-shed like yours. Plus, I would be out there all day long and would get even less housework and cooking done. Enjoy your space!

Beautiful sewing space. Looks like it will be so much fun to work in and all that space is fantastic. Aren't grandkids great to help us out with our computer skills??!! I did write down the steps that my granddaughter used to get pictures on this board but I must have missed a step somewhere along the instructional session!! Next time she is here I am going to have her go just a little bit slower.

Thanks for the pics of your "She Shed". What a great hubby, keep him, Mine finished out a 32 x 16 room in our garage type barn for me and I love, love it. As I get older it is a challenge to get up the 24 steps but I go up once a day and spend hours in it. We are both very lucky,

In our county, adding anything over 120 sq ft, must have a building permit. That's 10 x 12 with no overhang. Just saying. Knowledge can help avoid problems. You might need a building permit.

We're remodeling, not building, a deck roof and adding <120 sq ft to the roof-no permit needed. A permit would add $1000's.
