What you have done already is so perfect. I have always wanted to do a OBW or Kaleidoscope quilt. I tired once and it very quickly ended in my UFO bin where it remains for another day. I will be watching this posting closely.

I like what you've done there, Watson! I can see them 'floating' on a black background looking very cool, indeed! I've been puzzling out how to do a hexi that ends up looking like a "lantern" type quilt. There's endless variety in this craft!

My OBW's have 6 sides, so there seems to be no way to make them square.
This is what I came up with although I only have done two so far. You can see that if I staggered them the black background would make an interesting secondary pattern.

i like that! It can be set vertical or horizontal.

Otherwise, I would sit down with that hexie paper, and colour away,
to see what I could design for fully assembled hexies.

Though, there's no problem in figuring the triangle size for the design I referenced as it is the same size as the triangles in the hexies.
Watson .... might be an option and frame the hexies?
Using your lavender? or perhaps a teal from the print?
