Hey all ... hope everyone is doing well ... I'm doing my duty and staying in and not causing trouble ... not really hard for me to be honest - I now work from home, and already liked to stay home and work on stuff around the house, so I'm doing ok

I am however, at a total loss on my next quilt ... I feel like I've done them all ... when I know I haven't, but I can't find something that strikes my fancy ... and I have all this free time!

Hit me up with some pics / patterns, ideas!!!

Those of you that "know me", know I'm up for almost anything!

I stretched my quilting by getting into Accuquilt. My next quilt will be a Cleopatra's Fan. I am having loads of fun doing so many different designs that I would have ever thought to do with the AQ. Even without the system I would find it fun to look at many of the designs they have out. Many of them can be found in traditional patterns. It has expanded for me many new quilt projects.

I haven’t done much sewing after my huge scrub cap and mask marathon. I will get back to it but keeping everyone safe and fed is enough for me right now. I really enjoy ruler work so when I feel like sewing, I do a practice square. I have a pile of quilt sandwiches all in one colour. I figure when I get enough done, I will put them together QAYG for a couch throw.

I find improv projects really get my creative juices flowing. I love Rayna Gillman's books and also the Colaborative Quilting books by Freddy Moran and Gwen Marston. I will put the links at the end, Rayna also has a blog.

Just off the top, doing an improv, wonky log cabin gets you into your stash and in the mood...they make great mug rugs too.

Another fun, easy kickstarter is a strip set: put together 6 strips of fabric that look great together, sew them together. Press that strip set out and then cut it at right angles to the stitch lines, in varying widths. Reverse every other one and stitch those together. That makes a really fun block.

Pinterest is always a good inspiration...try searching improv quilt blocks there.
