I googled candy square quilt pattern and there’s a you tube video. The picture behind the girl just looks like a single Irish chain with alternating 9 patch blocks and solid blocks.

That is a great scrap buster project! How big are the smaller squares cut to make the 9 patch....2 1/2"??

It is a great stash buster!! They are using a Charm pack (5" squares) and cutting them in half and in half again so yes .... the cut squares will be 2 1/2".
