Default Needing Help With A Pattern "Crinkle-Cut"

Have you made this or have the pattern?

I have the pattern Crinkle-Cut Table Runner by Schoolhouse Enterprises, Merry May. I've read through the pattern which is an illusion pattern. Understand everything until the backing instructions. I cannot for the life of me understand their drawing or cutting instructions. It is a no binding pattern, and I know it's 'their' birthing method of turning the piece so just making a backing and doing it in a traditional way isn't going to work with this runner, it is their unique way, with this unique design.

I'm hoping someone here has deciphered their instructions. I've written to Quilt Woman who publishes the pattern and to Merry Quilts and have not received any responses.

Cute pattern. I don't have the answer about the binding but I'm very curious about the answer. Hopefully someone will have the answer!

Reading the description, 'quilt as you go' and 'no binding' do not go together in my head. Also, looking at the pictures of the ladies holding their projects, has me scratching my head. The only thing I can think of, is that the 'quilt as you go' is the batting and pieced top only, and then a separate backing is added. I did a bag pattern like that.

Can't help, but please post your runner when it's done, or even now. I'd love to see it.

Interesting for sure, especially looking at the pictures. I hope you have received an answer back from the company by now? I agree that they must have quilted just the top and batting and then attached the backing separately. In this particular case, it is too bad the copyright doesn't allow you to share the exact wording so that someone might give you more help.
