Default Bed runners

Do you have any suggestions for finding bed runner patterns? Google hasn't been much help this time! Anyone have a tried and true pattern? A search of the board yielded mostly threads about table runners.

Looking on Pinterest they look like just about any quilt patter would work. Just make it one or two rows wide

There are some quite pretty bed runner patterns out there. I just put “bed runner quilt patterns” in the search. You could also try using bed scarf instead of bed runner.

Here are some links. https://sew4home.com/patchwork-bed-r...ilted-borders/
https://www.e-patternscentral.com/list.html?cat_id=1050
https://www.quiltingdaily.com/quilt/...unner-pattern/
https://blog.accuquilt.com/inspirati...unner-patterns
Some of the pages when I click on the supposed link for the pattern, I get a 403 or 404 forbidden page.

I made a fun one out of "orphan blocks" from previous quilts I had made. I just decided on the width I wanted and made about four rows, all of which were a different measurement depending on the size blocks I had. I did have to add some "spacer fabric" to make all the rows the same length before I stitched them together. It turned out better than I thought it would.

What a cute idea, kind of like a sampler!

I think if you just pick your favorite block that you like to make and sew a row or two and that will give you a nice bed runner. You could add whatever size border you want and make it the finished size to your preference.

They're not that different from table runners, which is probably why you got those results. Just need to make them longer if you have a wider bed. I agree with the others, just make a row of your favorite blocks, maybe add a border, quilt it and there you go! 😊

Another name for bed runners is "Bed Scarves". I remember seeing a bed scarf pattern in a magazine. If you google the term bed scarves, you will see many options to make one. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
