Default where to buy bolts of fabric

Happy Memorial Day!!

I hope I am not breaking any rules with this question, but here I go. I am working on making quilts for my brothers and sisters for Christmas and I need a lot of fabric.

I bought yards and yards and yards from my local quilt shop, but the background fabric is getting me. She doesn't really have tons of background fabric. She would order it for me but then there is the pricing

does someone have tip on where to purchase bolts of fabric on line? I want good brand and I have been striking out. Missouri Star Quilt had a bolt, but I hesitated and then it was gone

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Marshall's Dry Goods. Wholesale page. You can buy bolts of MDG fabric without a tax number at wholesale prices. I love the Dream Cotton solids. Sign up for the wholesale emails. Get all the new arrivals and deals. Call and ask for Sharon. She is a fabric rep that sells bolts. If you want yardage go to the retail page.

Handcock of Paducah. They list the number of yards of fabric they have. If you order what is on the bolt, you get what is on the bolt. They also do not charge for shipping if you order over $70. I just got a bolt plus of 12 dollar a yard for 3.99 a yard as it was on sale for 4.99 and the more you ordered the less it was. So I got 15 yards of a dark taupe flannel which I am going to use for backings.
I think there is 14-15 yards of fabric on a bolt.

I love Marshall Dry Goods for bolts of fabric but I also love fabric.com. If you call them they are very helpful. I buy my wow fabrics by the bolt from them.

When I need a lot of background fabric or backing I always get it from Marshall Dry goods and I get the 108" so that I'm getting more fabric for my buck! I have bolts of 108" fabric that I either use for the backing or for the actual top. Glad to hear that I'm not the only one thinking about Christmas quilts. Good luck.
