Great finish. It's traditional, yet modern. I love all things Edyta Sitar related so beautiful fabric choice. The quilting is just the icing on the cake.

Thank you for your kind comments. The quilt made its journey across state on Saturday and was gifted to a high school graduate. She and her family were happy with the results. Her mom is an artist, so I felt a bit of pressure to step it up a notch. Now my fingers are crossed that this gal will use the quilt and enjoy it. Out of my hands and into hers. I am humming "Let it go!, Let it go" (There is a song for every occasion!)

It's beautiful & the graduate will cherish it forever. It looks like it's ready for a quilt show. I love the colors & design & everything about it.

Bold! I could see that done for a young man in some other shades.

I agree. I have also thought of black and white prints. Or solids that are all of the same value or rainbow colors or.... well this pattern can go in many different ways. The simplicity of the the final look allows so much creativity in the fabrics chosen for the blocks. You have set me thinking again of possibilities. I have a layer cake already designated for another version, but that will be in the future.
