Most of the time this issue is...the bottom of the walking foot does not line up with the feed dogs. Sometimes they do not match at all on one side, causing a problem with moving the fabric evenly. I would ask for a replacement of your foot

I'm a little confused. You use your walking foot for FMQ?

Have you tried to adjust the pressure of the foot? Maybe it needs to be adjusted to accommodate a change in the thickness of the quilt that you are sewing on.

A lot of people have found success with this Janome walking foot for the Juki. Read all the comments from the Juki owners to get a flavor of it. https://www.amazon.com/Janome-Conver...-crafts&sr=1-4

No. I use the walking foot to anchor pieces before FMQ or I use it to do cross-hatching. Lately, I've been using the walking foot exclusively for various quilting patterns. Much less stressful for me than FMQ with the Elna.

Thank you for clarifying.
