Default Hey Y'all

Hey, new member from GA here. I've been quilting for about 10 years. My work is usually bright and pattern heavy, but with simpler piecing since I pretty much always make my own patterns. I like to hand quilt but send big ones off to a longarmer to complete. I'm terrible about getting picture of my quilts when I'm done, though, and hope hanging out here will be good motivation to change that. Here's one I did though. So that's me; looking forward to meeting y'all and dishing about this cool hobby.

Welcome from SW Michigan. Wander the site, learn new techniques and yes, you will find lots of patterns and good ideas recommended by users. Ask questions and yes, take photos to share with all of us on the board.

Howdy there Poke... now I got a song in my head...

Welcome to the boards and a big grats on figuring out how to post pictures. Hope to see many more from you. My dad was in the army and when I was a little girl in the 1960s I lived at Fort Benning -- it was back during the one of the big cicada hatchings and I remember that particularly.

Currently I'm in the Seattle area but planning on moving to the midwest this year.

Welcome to the QB from SE Michigan where we will be having one of the biggest snow storms of the season so far, today and tomorrow. Your quilt is lovely and looks like you had fun making it. Jump right in and have loads of fun. the best way I find to jump in is but going to the " New Post" area and read and post away.

Welcome Polkweed! Love your username and your 'electrocuted' cat avatar. Ha! Also love that you already figured out how to post pictures here-- no small feat. Your 'Xs' quilt is darling.

I'm in Mississippi, your close neighbor!
