Default 1934 Singer 99 - Chicago World's Fair Badge

About a week ago I spotted this 1934 Singer Chicago World's Fair badged 99 in Southern GA. I convinced my son who lives in in Northern FL to go pick it up for me. He picked it up this morning. It appears to be pretty rare as there is a registry for Special Event badged machines on a FB group and there is currenty only two other 1934 Chicago World's fair badged 99's on the list.....this will be the third. In comparison there are 39 221's Chicago World's Fair badged machines on the list.

She needs cleaning but the decals are in good shape. I can't wait to get my hands on it when my son comes to visit in June!

As an added twist. That serial number dates this machine to 1932.

Yes, for some reason this happen quite often. Of the chicago world's fair badged machines that I've seen several of them are dated earlier than 1934. On Tre Perry's facebook site there is a registry of special badged machines that shows that several machines have serial numbers that date back to as early as 1930.

My son delivered my Chicago Word's Fair Singer 99 from Florida 2 days ago. I spent some time cleaning it up. Attached are some "after" pics. I'm pretty pleased with how it cleaned up.

That's beautiful! Do you rechrome the parts, such as the light, yourself?
