I’m enjoying reading all of your progress. I’m still getting my fabric together, but I do plan to play catch up one block a week starting next month. Then I will be caught up fairly quickly. Last night I rewrote the directions into easy and basic directions. All I need is the measurements to cut and then sew when I’m ready to start later this month. I’m thinking queen size.

I've been getting my scrap quilts put together, and need to get sewing on the May step before June gets here. I've managed to use up most of the scraps in about three totes, will be 6 quilt tops in total. One uses smaller strips, and I should have enough of them saved back for that, and then I've got a tote full of triangles that I have an idea for. I've been saving triangles for a while, so probably have enough to make more than one top with them.

What was the May block? Was it the 4 patch?

yes, may is the four patch. I got all mine finished up this morning. Only have three left, square in a square, and then the tri rec - one set is neutral center and color outer, the other is color center and neutral outer. So maybe that is only two left . . .

I finished up my 5th clue, the square-in-square blocks! They went together fairly well.
My least favorite ones are the ones in the last clue, and there are so many of them... 16 per block! DREAD.

I had finished up another project and didn't want to start cutting a new one, so started sewing ahead on this since they were all cut.

I started sewing units together and discovered I miscounted on my square in a square and need almost 30 more of them - the main problem here is that I have very little scraps that are large enough for this.

Macybaby... shopping trip!

I worked ahead too and finished all the units. Here is my first "square". I am surprised by how huge it is! From far away it looks ok, but up close it's pretty scrappy crazy. In retrospect, I should have gone with either scrappy whites, or scrappy reds, but not both.
