Default Pfaff 7550 motherboard died

I love this machine but Pfaff no longer makes parts for it. Can a computer tech fix it? I only care if it sees straight and zig zags. How would I find someone to try to refurbish. I live in Tampa area.

I had a long talk with my sewing tach about my D1 a few years back. He said at the time, that they used to be able to locate "used" motherboards but no longer could find them, then for a while, they could refurbish them if they could find one that this could be done to. Then sadly, they could not even do that. One person had brought her D1 in and it still could do a very nice straight stitch but apparently nothing else. So she just took it back home. Sadly, my screen went blank so I bought myself a new Topaz 40 which the tech said could pretty much do what the D1 could do plus a few more things. My D1, being an older machine felt a bit more solid to me, but the Topaz 40 does an OK job.
If you can find a Pfaff tech, that is where I would start.

Try Brubecker Sewing in Pennsylvania. He does Phaffs.

Do try to find a Pfaff dealer. They may have tech people contacts to fix it.
I had a new mother board put in my 7510 last year. Machine works great!

Definitely have a trusted and thorough technician look at it before giving up on it.

I had a dryer that quit working, this was about 10 years ago. Hubby determined the problem was the motherboard. He almost ordered another one for $350, but he looked carefully at it and realized one of the solders had just popped off. He re-soldered that spot and it's been working fine ever since.
