Very nice. I have been making mug rugs for about fifteen years. I save all my scraps, and when I need something different do do, I sit and do strip piecing to a foundation (old sheets, left over muslin, even dryer sheets) then I square them up to 5 inch squares. I then back them with recycled bath towels. When I get a dozen or more, I turn them and stitch the opening while I watch (listen) to TV.
They make wonderful hostess gifts, or stocking stuffers at Christmas. My family and friends ask for more. But, I love your idea. May have to steal that one. GiGi
