You go to the local Goodwill and buy a man's shirt hoping your DH will hate it but it will be beautiful in a quilt. I did that Saturday.

That brought back a memory of almost 60 years! My Great-aunt had a quilt frame hanging from the ceiling in the "parlor".
I asked my husband if he would figure out how to hang my quilting frame from the ceiling so I could lower it to sew and raise it to put it out of harms reach (Kids and Critters) and he looked at me like I was crazy!

I am going to show him this post!

it creates the same effect that drugs and/or alcohol does in other folks: a feeling of euphoria and release of stress. I find that the way my mind works actually changes. In fact, if I don't have time to actually do any sewing, looking at/moving a little fabric around will do the trick.
And all done w/o any lousy hangover to deal w/ later :-D :-D

when you haven't been able to get to your sewing machine for 7 months (hubby has a project he has to finish) and you still buy fabric, read quilting magazines and visit this site : )

When you'd rather drive than fly because you want to stop at all the quilt shops, when you want to teach everyone else how to quilt and when you have more patterns and plans than you could ever finish.

When my mind wanders, which is frequently, it is always new quilting ideas that pop up first. Also my stash has been referred to as rivaling a fabric store. Think I bought too much? Nah.

I did this while on vacation - glad to know I am not the only one
I did too! I was standing in the rain taking pictures of the bricks in the sidewalk. My husband sat in the car shaking his head at me and laughing. :-)
