I love after Christmas clearances. You can find all sorts of things you can buy and rework them to make them look so much better.

I will be making more handmade ornies. I have a lot of sites to go to that I saved from this thread.
Thank you! I worked up several blocks today. I got all my birthday blocks completed to finish the year out. Now to post them. Also cut a bunch of 1.5 blocks today. They are ready to put in the mail. I washed 2 loads of laundry. Washed up some extra dishes. Froze 8 to 9 quarts of tomatoes. Maybe a little better than that. Plus filled up 8 hummer feeders. They keep me busy filling those. And I'll work on something tonight when I get done.
Now I've got to work on my website tonight.

You sure have made some wonderful ornaments! Patrick Lose last book had a cute stocking and mitten ornament. I have made a few.

Your ornaments are really neat! I have no additional ideas to offer as I haven't done these but I might try a couple of the type you show. Thanks!

I've made a ton of these, people who have bought them have come back when they have a new family member so they can be sure everyone has one. It's just a styrofoam ball, covered in fabric, with the name and year cross stitched on it.

OMG!!! Thank you so very much for posting this! I have made these before and was thinking about them just the other day, but have misplaced my instructions! And here you have just handed them to me! Copied and pasted as a Word document now, and saved on my computer for future reference!

These do make extremely pretty ornaments. I have been thinking of making them this year for my bible study class. They make up really pretty using silver and gold paints. I love the silver with blue and/or purple. I also like to add a sheer bow on the hanger part. Makes them a little dressier looking. Thank you again for sharing this!

I've made these for several years now - always seem to get a good response, and they're very easy (and relatively inexpensive!).
