I don't know what a 10 minute block is, sorry. The 1930's border is a square in square with a meadering vine with yo-yo flowers. The border on the civil war quilt is a bow-tie block.

Both are simply gorgeous, I love the cheery 30's fabrics and the civil war fabrics are so warm and homey looking. I especially like the sashing on the civil war quilt. Beautiful quilts!
