Do you like yours on hangers?
It works for me. I don't have lots of shelves and like seeing groupings on a wire hanger.

I use my 6 x 24 inch ruler to fold the yardage fabric. I am thinking of pinning a piece of paper with the yardage on the "roll" but haven't done it yet. I make sure that I can easily unfold the fabric as I need to cut it. These are all stored on open wire shelving in a closet in my sewing room. I keep the fat quarters in fabric baskets on shelving on one wall in the same room. I sort by color, but when I have a project, I pull out the fabric and put them together with what I need. These are stored in plastic containers which I keep under the day bed in the room. That's the plan. I'm getting better and am finding it much easier to get more done.
