I'll chime in by also asking the name of the block. But also to say that it is the little quilt that has everything: pretty pattern, pretty colors, nice quilting, beautiful applique. I think a whole quilt like it woulde be very pretty.

Very quaint. It reminds me of the Pennsylvania Dutch barn decorations. Thanks for sharing.

Well, ontheriver, your little wall quilt REALLY caught my attention. I've been working on blocks in various different color arrangements since I saw your post yesterday. I've done a block with white (like yours) with lots of scraps, and now I'm working on one that has a background of a rich chocolate background and planned fabrics. I looked at what you've done and figured out how to do it. I just LOVE that block. Not sure what I'll make when I figure out the colors I want, but I'm having fun making the block. I started with a 4 1/2 inch center block, was that what your center was? Then when it's all done, I think it measure 16" total. Thanks for the inspiration!!
