It is so enjoyable to see what everyone is working on. I got 3/5 of the blocks up but ran out of design wall. Trying to think what I can make to finish up the layout. Since the setting triangles are too big to cut by strip, I guess it is back to the large square cut criss cross. Since a homeless vet apartment housing will be located on March Base, I might just donate this one to the cause. Thank you all for nice compliments

Thanks thimblebug, I used Marti Michell's measurements for pre-cutting all my fabrics from fat quarters rather than doing the cut as you go method. I also used her suggestion for alternating medium values with the darks and lights-- that's what changed the look from a traditional log cabin. I used fat quarters and some yardage from my stash.

Watson, can't answer any of your questions but I like your happy baby quilt! Great idea for using up scrap blocks.

Very pretty quilt, Maniac! Looks like a fun one too, because you don't have to match seams.

Wow! I loved looking at everyone's projects. So much fun. You are all so talented. I am working on a little quilt this week-end. Jenny Doan newest video Friday with the stripes. It was so much fun. Lots of you probably have seen or done this before but it as new to me. Jenny said it has been around awhile. I don't normally use or buy striped fabric because it is hard to match it up to go straight. I'll post a picture later. I really don't care for the fabric but it has been in my stash for several years so I used it to try this out. I don't know what I was thinking when I bought the fabric but I must of had something in mind! lol It is sooooooo bright! I did order some new striped fabric from Jenny that is very pretty, to make another quilt. She used it in her video.

The 4th of July may have fireworks but Memorial Day weekend is having an explosion of colorful, beautiful, mind-blowing projects in the works! I should get back into the sewing room now that I'm done grilling, you're all making me envious of such awesomeness.

Love your fabrics in this. The fabrics that have the white and red dots/ speckles adds just that bit of extra interest. This is not just another bargello, it is awesome.
peace

ManiacQuilter2, love your colors!

I completed a small table topper except for the binding. Tomorrow after I go grocery shopping, I'll bind that and the top I quilted yesterday.

This is great how many of us are quilting together this weekend. See you all mid-morning Monday

Will check back in on Thurs. as we are heading off on a 3 day bus trip in the morning... hope to see what everyone accomplished. I have the binding on the baby quilt and just doing the hand stitching to the back. I will need to go back and quilt around each sheep but wanted to get the binding on so have machine quilted on the diagonal through the 9 patches.... and SID the whole quilt. Thank you everyone for sharing all your projects, I feel very inspired!
