Ooohhh Pam, I love the compasses on the edges. I like the open areas for quilting, but it appeared to "need" something. I have to say that I prefered the inner points on the stars. They seem to anchor the center of the quilt to me, but either way...its a great pattern! I'm likig it more and more!

I had to make it longer if I decide to do shows with it. AQS shows require bedsize quilts to be a minimum of 65x75. It was 62x62 so I added to the top and bottom and made the stars whole.

Not saying I will, it all depends on how it comes out. ;)

I ordered another yard of three of the fabrics, just in case, and the backing fabric in the lightest blue. The background is the one that looks white in the center piece. It has a very, very subtle green watercolor pattern like the pale blue.
