Over here (Netherlands) we pay 21- 28 dollar per meter (1,1 yard). That's why a lot of Dutch quilters order online in the US.

$21 - $26 per metre (which is one yard and three and four tenths inches). So a rough rule of thumb is that we pay $26+ for one yard and three inches. Hence why I use every scrap.

The best shop close to me sells regular fabrics from $7 to $9 and has a sale room with fabric for $5. I am in Southern California.

In New Zealand we also pay $26-$30 per meter. Makes quilting an expensive but still very pleasurable hobbie. I conesequently love scrappy quilts as I buy a fat quarter at a time so it is more affordable over time for me and not a huge outlay at one time.

I pay around $9.75/yd for full price. The Amish store in the next town is a bit cheaper - usually around $8/yd.
