Yikes! At what point does a stash go to hoarding? This looks like it may have gone to that point. Very brave posting the pics. I think if my room had a fraction of what is there I would be on a serious buying moratorium. I like to be able to see what I have and be able to keep a partial mental inventory so I don't duplicate what is already in my stash. Good luck getting dug out.

I started learning to quilt last winter and I use my son's old bedroom. The bed is stacked with fabric. I'm thinking that sooner than later I will have to get rid of the bed & get some bookcases/shelves to hold things. I've turned the dresser into my cutting table. I just bought a 6' folding table to set my sewing machine on...an upgrade from the old card table. And I have an old singer in a cabinet that I have a small tabletop ironing board on it when not using it. Did I say that this room is only 10' x 12'? It's small & getting smaller by the minute. Looking at your pictures I see my future...ha. Lucky you for being so rich in fabric!

but I have way too much fabric and have a lot of those
tubs full of fabric in the garage. I have cleaned out and
given away a lot of the fabric that was in those tubs, but
still too much. I wish I knew another quilter close to me
who would come and help me sort and price some more
of my excess fabric, books, magazines, etc. so I could
maybe make a little money off it. I have a good friend
who is a quilter, but she is gone a lot to visit family, so
for now it's just me. Anyway, one day it will get done :).
Have a Great Day!

My goal this year is to not buy any new fabric and trim my stash by half. Thats going to be hard because I love fabric. I love buying it ,washing and ironing it. Folding it and touching it. Looking at it but not so much sewing it. I have a long row to hoe. Wish me luck.

I run a small business online, went to school for a year, I worked 6 clients and 2 jobs for a year, and I had 5 major surgeries in 18 months....before you know it, 5 years is gone and nothing got done in that room, except I kept adding NEW projects!
