    I wouldn't want to sash mine. When the blocks are put together, they would form a secondary design, with diamonds at each block edge.

    Ok, I'm confused -- what does sash mean? I'm not that experience quilter - in fact, I just sew from a pattern and go from there.

    Sashing is the material that goes between the blocks to separate them.
