729 3 1/2 inch squares....would I do it again?

Sniktasemaj - it wasn't that bad really. Having cross stitched for years helped. I simply drew the lines to make the rows and columns, counted how many squares of white and blue I needed. Then cut them out. I made sure all the squares were going the same direction and then chain pieced them together.
I'd sew 2 squares and then 2 more until I got to the last set which was 3 squares. Then I sewed the sets together. I double check and counted to make sure each row was corrected.
I sewed the first 6 rows together, then the next 7 rows. Then sewed those 13 rows together. Then sewed the next 7 rows and then the final 7 rows. Sewed the 14 rows together and then put the 13 and 14 rows together.
The one big thing I would have done differently was ironed each seam before I sewed the sets together. It was just too big to iron it all at one time.
Other than that it really and truly wasn't bad. I started piecing it together on a Friday night and had it finished I can't remember if it was Monday or Tuesday. The quilting part was probably the toughest.
My machine only has 7 1/2 or so of clearance so moving a quilt that was 81 x 81 inches was pretty tough. I'd love to have had a larger harp because I might would consider putting it in the fair. But the quiting is a bit wonky.

Momyar, this is truly a labor of love. I'm sure your dh appreciates all the work you put into it. My own dh is so supportive of my passion for quilting. You've inspired me to make something 'just for Frank'
