Lovely star block, Terri, a great choice for your farm fabric.

It's cold here today, too. An unexpected surprise and a welcome one, considering how little cool weather we have these days. I actually am wearing a sweater!

Yesterday I had a fun day out with my quilting buds. We road-tripped a few hours away, to the Hattiesburg Pine Belt Quilters' Showcase. The quality of the quilts was much better than the last show we went to. Saw some amazing applique and paper piecing! This was my favorite, and also won the Viewer's Choice prize. All needleturn applique and thread painting, tiny pieces! And it's not from any pattern, just her photos. Artist is Judy Spiers and she calls it "Mississippi Backroad Treasures". I'll add the photo from my phone.

Can't wait for my F8s to arrive! In the meantime I might get my BurgSur quilt top finished, with only 2 blocks left to be built.

Janice, get ready for the flood of photos of new Bloom blocks!

This quilt is stunning. I have always admired people whole could create like this with fabric and thread.
