Mine is still up!!! We had a lovely Christmas celebration with all the kids an grandkids and then got on a plane on the 27th to come to Hawaii!! I won't be back until this coming Monday. We babysit for the rest of the week, have a birthday party for a grandson on the weekend. It may be Easter before we can get the darn thing taken down!

I love having the house decorated, but usually by January 1st it is time to be back to normal. (Whatever normal is?)

January 6th, after twelfth night is the European tradition, but then we don't put them up until much nearer Christmas, traditionally they should go up on Christmas eve, but I know here they seem to be up very early :)

My DIL puts up a Halloween Tree - actually it is a Christmas Tree- disguised with sunflowers, grape vines, jack o lanterns, etc. After Halloween, it turns into a Thanksgiving tree -jack o lanterns are removed or turned around -After Thanksgiving the Halloween/Orange comes off and it turns into a Christmas tree.
Unfortunately it comes down after the 1st of the year.
    But it is cute.
Can't get DL to let me do the same thing - maybe because he knows I will turn it into a Valentine tree, St Patricks Day tree, etc, etc, etc.
