I love all these stories.
I met my dh on a cruise. My best friend and I went on a cruise (we are both nurses) we met the Captain. I married him 6 months later:)
He passed away 7 years ago after being married for 13 years. There will never be another one like him.

My husband fell for me the moment he met me. He'd just transferred to the school where I taught, and had his students lined up to come in from the playground. I had a huge stack of papers in my arms, backed out the door, and knocked him into his line of kids. He stayed on his feet, barely, but the kids fell like dominoes! So he tells everyone he fell for me at first sight!

I met my wonderful husband on Match.com. I knew 1st date he was the one I was going to marry. we dated a year and now have been married 7 years.

Met my hubby of 36 yrs. when he was cutting hair at a superstore that my dad was helping build. I was 18 and missed my bus[High School Sr,] so went there to wait for my dad.DH was cutting one of my cousins boys hair so it gave me an excuse to go in.I got a ride home from him a few times but a few weeks later he went into the Army. I keep writing and calling him.Actually bugging him. After one visit to his home[2 miles from Mine and didn't know it] while he spent 3 yrs. in the Army. HE eventually came back home to Mi.[stationed in MD.] It was April 1974, got engaged in June and married Sept 1 of same year.Happily married since.He went back into the Army for 18 more years.[Spent 9 of those in Budingen, Germany.] Had 2 kids and still happy as ever!!!!

I've been asked out at the grocery store too. That is weird. I had to pass because I was married. I met my husband at work. We worked for different companies in the same building. We were friends before we started dating. Been married 26 years.

High school sweethearts ... DH is the only man I ever dated. Married 40 years next month.

i met dh on a set-up meeting. we're married 49 years next month.

even now, at 68 and way overweight, i still get hit on fairly regularly. it's become a family joke. the men, however, have gotten a lot older than they used to be. :lol: :lol: :lol: :mrgreen: it's still fun.

When I was young I couldn't go anywhere without getting hit on, grocery,gas station, work, church, school everywhere,driving in my car, it gets kinda' old 'cause there are alot of frogs to weed though. Had lots of trouble with unsincere men, (been married 5 times)men that abuse you, I was strong enough to get out of those 2 situations when it happen, and my first husband lived in bars-married 8 yrs. parents made me come home with 2 kids. Met my now husband in 2nd grade, met up again at 35 yr. reunion, been married 3 yrs, now. I had been single for 18 yrs. he had a hard time convincing me to marry him-I wasn't going to marry again. I am happy I did.

Met mind the first day on a new job. He also worked there and told co-workers that day that he was going to marry me. It took almost 10 yrs but we had our 22nd aniversary New Years eve. True soul mates.

A friend introduced us at the hospital...I was a graduate nurse he was a med student...8 weeks after our first date we were married...working on 34 years.
