I am a bit late on this message. But I too keep LOTS of pictures and patterns on my computer. It is so easy to find as I label and the computer list is in alpabetical order.

I have some magazines going back to the 1970s. When I retire (in 2 years), I'm going to scan them into my computer. As the magazines get older, the pages become more brittle. If anything happens to the hard copies, I'll still have the back up on my computer (backed up onto disks, of course).
