Beautiful. I made a dresden plate quilt for a family reunion quilt in blues - my family sent fabric, then I appliqued the plates onto white fabric with two strips of blue with a white strip in between and 9 patches in the corners. It was one of the best quilts I have ever made. Didn't have the tool, but used the block from Eleanor Burns Quilt in a Day book, so easy. The only thing I did differently was to make the background blocks slightly larger. I used their fabrics - which went togther like they were planned, then used 4 of the same blue in each plate with a batik center to unify each block. My relatives all fought over it, but one of my brothers won it - saying that it was the best quilt I had ever done. High praise from Don to be sure. I just machine appliqued the plates onto the background fabric and did a fancy stitch around the center circle. Love your Dresden plate.

I would just make the circle after I finish the dresden plate. I have some plastic circle templates and I just put one over the hole in the center to check the fit and then cut it out and applique' it on. Have a great day, Huggies, Fay
