I went to a fabric store and saw this thing, I don't think it's such a great gadget, I can think of stuff I would rather have, before you spend the money, see if a local shop has them and go ask for a demo :D

I'm a newby here...but I can relate to liking gadgets. I sometimes wait awhile til the "new" wears off a gadget, in other words, wait til its not such a new item anymore. Then get it cheaper, or maybe find one on ebay cheaper! :)

Considering the price they can keep it. My pin cushion does the same thing for the price of a little fabric and stuffing material and never pricks my fingers. lol.

I use one of these for sewing club. I glued a magnet inside, works for me & almost free is even better.

Yeah, I'm a ruler junky, too! Everyone asks why I need ANOTHER ruler, but if I can make more quilts because it's fun to use a new ruler....why not?

It looks like more headache than it is worth to me. I would prefer a good pin cushion or a magnetic strip that will pick up the pins and since the glass heads won't stick it would easy to remove them.

I really like the little magnet tray that you can just throw pins at and they stay put! Another little thing I just found recently. A pink pin cushion by Singer that has sections marked for different types of sewing machine needles. Ball Points in one section; different sizes & types in different sections. Really a great idea!
