    If you had asked me this question yesterday my answer would have been very different. However my quilt guild had a very fun, interesting guest speaker-Karen Eckmeier of The Quilted Lizard-last night.
    Yesterdays answer-border must coordinate, etc.
    Todays opinion-the one that looks like a sunset, or the gecko border....actually Pick the one that makes you smile the most!
    Let us know what you choose.

    #1 appears to be the same fabric as your trunk and competes with it IMHO. I like the gecko's #2 or #3.

    I like #1 and #3 also. The gecko's would be cute appliqued on the beach or on the trunk of the tree :lol:

    I'd be tempted to try a compromise layout with the gecko and the sunset. The sunset across the top and sides, and, using the geckos on unequal, mitered, sides and bottom. I sort of see it in my head, but it would be something I'd play around with. The overlay fronds will probably show best on the sunset. Much of this looks as though it could have come from my stash. I'm inspired. Looking forward to your finished creation.
