I quilt strictly for fun, whether it be a gift or whatever. I believe if I don't feel pure joy in what I'm doing, then I'm not putting my heart into it, and I'm wasting my time, when I could be doing something I'd enjoy more.

I guess I don't have anything to add to all the wonderful comments and reasons that all of you have mentioned. I love to quilt even if I have only made two so far. I have 5 children and my goal is to make one for each of them before I die. I've also made one pillow for my dear friend Yvonne who will turn 100 on May 31st. Many of you have been helpful to me in helping me choose the pattern that I asked you to vote on. The next one will be for my oldest son then I will have two more sons to follow. Then I will make them for my 4 grandchildren. Maybe someday I will make one for myself. But I'm having fun and its one way to show myself if I have any creativity. That's all for now. Happy Spring Everyone !!!

Sewing is my therapy. I turned to quilting to keep it.
My quilts are mostly gifts, but I keep the ones that my husband puts claims on.
I have shown some at county fairs(1 has not brought home a ribbon).
Some have gone to charity and of course I have a couple of UFOs.
