Totally awesome and you are really going to enjoy having your own space. No more sew and then have to pick up everything so something alse can happen at the table.
Enjoy

My suggestion is to REALLY get all sorts of organizing cabinets or closets FIRST. The more you quilt, the more important it is to have adequate storage. I love closed cabinets, with doors so that all the things you have can be out of the way and the room can look neat. When things are too messy, and no place to put things.....I tend to get depressed, don't want to work, and avoid the room.
Thanks for the suggestion...I hope to be able to do this...gotta see a bit more in the room to see how and where. I too, like a neat room but I know others work well when they have everything out where they can see it.

Looking forward to seeing the completed room. It's a little bit hard to imagine it finished. Thanks for letting us share in the fun of a new sewing room!

Well TymetoShine I know exactly how you feel waiting for your new room to get done so you can get going!

We just got mine finished last month.
It started out to be a small bedroom upstairs in a small farmhouse.
Since we put as addition on our first level we expanded that room too for my sewing room.

looking inside the room from the door the white cubbie (right) holds 1 yards or sets of material . Empty area against left wall will be for my quilt frame and machine when I get it.

To the left of the door (behind) other stashes and batting in the bins

Straight in from the door

From the back of the room to the door. Desk has sewing machine to the right is my embroidery machine. Left ironing board. To the front middle of the ironing area I have a large cutting table. It isn't up yet, in the picture,
