    They are cut at 1 1/2". Finished size on the blocks is 7". I used the entire Variety line by Jo Morton and added a few more repros from some of her other lines....

    It is 14 x 16 blocks. Blocks finish at 7", strip size is 1 1/2". If you use an uneven number for the number of rows/columns, the star wouldn't be centered...and I am OCD that way! LOL I did make sure there weren't two of the same fabrics in the same block, but once I started sewing blocks into rows....I didn't care if they touched anymore. I would have NEVER gotten it together.....trust me, I started out trying not to let like fabrics touch! LOL
