That bluebird is special for sure, wonderful job Uncle Gravy. Waiting for mine to arrive from my partner, haven't heard from her. Sent mine and it was delivered a long time ago.

Aww, thanks yall, glad kiffie liked it! I'm having a blast with the swaps, I've seen people post their swaps on instagram for awhile, but was never involved in a community prior to participate.

The bluebonnet, bee etc I drew specifically for the swap.

Learned to sew from my dear ole Mom of course! Yeah, I pretty much only do applique unless it's something functional for the house/kids. As much as I love piecing and making pieced quilts, wrestling a huge quilt in my little machine is not something I find fun. I use a Shark Intelli-sew (I think it came from target) - 'technically' it's my wife's sewing machine, but I use it way more than she does lol! It's old, every year I think it's gonna bite the dust, but after a little cleaning and oiling, it keeps cranking away.
