Funny you asked this Louise as I bought a qult that someone started of a tree at a recent quilt show. Since I am the chair for the guilds Christmas party I am going to finish it off to decorate the hall. However I can't finf the mini light garland that I thought I had when I started looking for embellishments. Found all the other fabrics and everything else I need to finish making this quilt.
Is anyone "thinking" about what to make for Christmas yet?
I have SEVERAL "Tiny Tannenbaum" tree wall hangings I want
to make this year. Made the first one last year and sent it to my
MIL since they were planning to be gone for the majority of the
holiday season they didn't want to put up any decorations so when
I sent her that wall hanging tree she LOVED it because it was just
the "right" amount of holiday decor she needed.
Some of you may know that I am on the "look out" for fabrics that
has metallic gold, mainly in colors OTHER than green and red, because
I already have way more than I need (at this time). Colors I am trying
to find are pink, purple, blues, teals, black, cream, white, and anything
else.
My #1 main goal is to make one of these wall hangings for my daughter
in PINKS because that is her favorite color. I think at this point I have
about 3 prints with gold.
In case your not sure what the wall hanging looks like here is a link to
the one I made last year that I posted on the QB.

Jeff where the lights garland the "fake" lights or real lights
with the battery pack?
I THINK that I might have an extra set of the fake lights if I
can find them I will send to you if needed.
I bought might fake lights at Hobby Lobby.
EDIT:
Scratch the Hobby Lobby idea the closest store to you is
in Roseville, Ca 105 miles away.
I will see what I can find locally.

Attention embroiders
Just an FYI if you have an embroidery machine
JULIA'S NEEDLE DESIGNS is having a GREAT sale
on all (and I mean ALL) their design SETS for $1
per set.
Wish I had some extra money, but I DID have 1 dollar
to get a cute set.
Sale ends MAY 27th!

Ladybug,
Have you received any more responses? I hope so! If you sent one to me, I did not get it. Mary

I too have sent out RAK with no replies and wondered if they rec'd them....not that I find it necessary for thank-you's, though that is so polite to do so, it's just nice to know that they have been received?

I am sorry to hear that those of you who are sending RAK's
are not getting any responses to your kindness.
Please note that when I get an RAK I try to make sure that
if nothing else I send a pm to thank the sender, and I TRY
to post pictures (when I don't mess things up with my camera).
Rosemary - I am still working on the blades and HOPE to have
them finished SOON (I know I said that already). My hubs complains
about the noise the sharpener makes so have been working in small
amounts on them.
