    Both are just stunning. I am partial to the Mariners Compass,DH was in the US Navy, plus the colors are my favorite.

    thanks for that info woody. I will try and search it out at our library. or internet. I have some lovely floral fabric that I could use for it.

    The pattern was in an old Australian Patchwork and Quilting magazine from March 2005 Vol 13 No. 1

    Here is a similar pattern free online

    Thank you for the link. I have printed it off but am a little confused with the fabric requirements.
    Its says , Floral Fabric AND background fabric. . I looked at the pictures and can't see what the background fabric would be.



    This is the floral I am going to use. it is Bouquet Gallery by south sea imports. I fell in love the minute I saw it. Don't know yet if I am going to use white or green as the trellis. My room is decorated with hand embroidered table covers etc . I have the botanical floral prints as art work so this fit perfectly.

    I hope it turns out half as well as woody's did

    The actual colors are a little brighter.
