For those that don't like points because of matching, no worries! The background extends beyond the points, and you cut it down after it's sewn, so you get a nice squared block to start with. Then you add the rectangles around it. The only matching are the intersections where the rectangles are. It's very easy to be successful with this pattern!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE every one of your lucky star quilts, beautiful!!! I have the kit but I'm sooo afraid to ruin it, it still sits there waiting to be done <sigh> Sure doesn't look easy to me
