I know exactly how you felt choosing the fabrics. I go with what I see on a pattern or by colours in a family eg the Moda fabric lines.

I have to do things a few times to learn them. Even then the next time I go to do it I may forget again.

Woohooo! You are off to a good start. The fabrics are wonderful. Can't wait to see the quilt in progress. I admire you for stepping out of the box and trying something else. Very encouraging to me and inspiring.

love the fabrics...and as far as and injury...all of us have something that we have to overcome...whether it is fear of cutting something wrong, sewing crooked or not picking the right fabrics...so it all has to do with practice...whatever you make will be made with love...just enjoy doing your quilt...

just because you thing they don't go together, if you like them then go for it...most of the time it turns out great....always remember to pick for yourself, that is if it is for you....if it's for someone else then ask them what they like and then get advice from the quilt shop..they are always willing to help...
