Who is he think he can boss you around? course, I know I don't know the whole situation, but I would of filled that room with quilting stuff the first day.

I am so jealous of those with actual rooms for their creative activities! I have my machine and notions in the dining/computer room, cutting area, stash and ironing board in the living room, and storage bins and patterns in the basement!

Now we are about to move into a considerably smaller house, and I have no idea where it's all going to go!

I don't have pics of mine, but you all make me feel better about my own! LOL!!!! I'm in desperate need of more shelf/drawer space that it's pitiful. My cutting table is buried under stacks of stuff. I use my dining room table as my cutting table these days.

After Christmas, I MUST get in there and put up more shelves / get more storage space, etc.

The short story-we put the down payment, and the two boys are paying the mortgage and household expenses. We lived overseas for the first 15 months after buying it, so he has handled everything from the beginning and sort of feels like he is the Alpha male. We live here about 8 months a year and overseas 4 months-they look at it as their house and we live with them part of the year. Anyway, I will be setting up my cutting table in there, and once I establish a foot hold, I'm in!

That is pretty sneaky :!: I expected to see a room at least as bad as mine but I don't have a digital camera so you will have to be the first. Gotcha :P :P

Oh, drat, I forgot to rotate the hall corner

Does it count that I'm in a wheelchair and can stand for less than a minute at a time? Hubby doesn't have time to help---nor the patience. What I intend to do is hire someone to carry boxes and bins to the bedroom and living room some morning-----------then sort for days---------then hire them to carry stuff back.
Please do not hire anyone to help you...I bet some quilting board members in your area would love to see all you have hiding around each corner......and for the price of a cup of coffee and cake. I for one would help if I was close....

Well, you see, I live alone and keep the guest room for my sons when they visit. There are ups and downs so be careful what you wish for (and I really mean this!!!). My youngest son and his family live about an hour away and they never stay here (visit often for home cooking and carry out of leftovers). My oldest son is a drop-in and leaves clothes in the guest room from time to time (yes, I launder them). We are all close and laugh and play together and truly enjoy each other's company.

The air hockey table may have to go .... it has become the "drop" zone and may collapse if action isn't taken! lol

My 87-year old mother lives nearby and I check on her daily. She also has a sewing room and three bedrooms. Talk about spreading out! lol She has more than 150 hand pieced quilt tops that she'll be leaving for me to finish. When will I have the time or talent???? She has 50 or so already hand pieced and hand quilted that I'll need to find a home for, too.
