I saw your other pictures I thought that some were already applequed to the white fabirc as they look like they are floating. That is the way I would go. Appleque to a white background. Bless her fragil heart and hurting fingers. And you for giving her meaning.

She has done a great job, so why not encourage her to start sewing the flowers together--she could do segments that could later be stitched together. It is basically the same thing as she has been doing so beautifully already. Just a thought.

Those are beautiful. I recently made a small Christmas tree shape from the hexagons then machine appliqued it on a block to go into a quilt. Glue or a few small basting stitches would hold it in place and machine applique may be a quicker way to get them together.

those are amazing. just beautiful. your mom has done an outstanding job. i would put them on an off white background just the way they are.

I've got about 12 blocks of these Grandmothers Flower Garden is it done but yet have to put them together. It's always been a hospital project....
