WOW, Snooze… i WOULDNT KNOW HOW TO ACT WITHOUT ALL THESE UFOS HANGING OVER MY HEAD! Congrats - YOU GO GIRL!

Prayer going out to you on the migraine situation… you most certainly have my sympathy AND empathy. I was a migraine sufferer for many years. At times it was debilitating. As you know, you can lose huge blocks of time at not even a moments notice to it. I totally understand this. Hang in there 💜

As someone who needs the monthly challenge as motivation, I thought you might like to see my list!

I just picked the UFO’s that I wanted to prioritize this year, listed them, and numbered them. So far, I’ve been pretty good about finishing, sometimes in the *next* month but that’s okay! I also have an extra quilt on there (#13) in case I finish early on a month, and I did let myself have a sneaky new start (#14) because the one I finished like it needed a companion and I know I can complete it straight through without it becoming another UFO!

I have many, many more kits and fabric collections and plans than listed on this page. (You can kind of see shadows of what’s written on the page underneath this chart, tee hee!) Slowly but surely making my way through them!

Ouossom, you make me giggle. Glad I am not the only one with extras on my list. I have fourteen also and I keep finding another one here, another one there. I haven't added them to my list but I am doing my best to keep them all in one place, so they don't hide out and get lost again.

I love that feeling of finishing but now entering the fourth month of push, push, push on UFOs, I am longing to make something new. Guess I could count my 2.5 quilt as a new although even that was started in November of 2025 and I am still "slogging" along. That is precisely how I get so many UFOs. I get the yen to make something new and ..... well there it goes again.

If'in I can get through this year with one a month and maybe an extra, I should be able to relax for a while and make something from beginning to end without years passing.

I have progress! Not done yet but the top is completed. This was a charity quilt top that my grandma had in her ready to be quilted, but I thought it needed something to make it look a little less thrown together with the borders and I picked it our for a friend's birthday this month so I needed to make it adult sized. Its still a quilt top ready to be quilted, so I guess UFO progress could be debatable, but I think the checkerboard border makes it look more intentional and better balanced. Next Im going to get a bit creative piecing the back and learn about the quilting table frame. Im feeling like getting it done this month is possible.

Cedar, your top turned out adorable! Quossum, I have the same UFO Sheets - all 4.5 pages of them! I find they work great as I can look to see if there is something quick or easy I can complete. I hadn't thought to make a page for just the ones I want to get done this year so thanks for that suggestion.

Cedar, really nice addition to the kitty panel. UFO's often need more than just quilting. You are creating and that is terrific. Keep going and you will have a finish before the end of April. Purrrrrfect!

Oh, Lena1952, that is a lot of UFOs but there will be less by the end of 2026! Use your list and keep stitching. May be down to 3 pages by December? Your choice at your pace, always.

Here is my latest UFO finish, yet to be washed. It's from 2014. I think I was almost exclusively buying FQ bundles when I started quilting; that was before I discovered Bonnie Hunter and scrap quilting. This bundle was by Cosmo Cricket called 'Salt Air,' which brought back wonderful childhood recollections of days at the beach. The pattern was a tutorial I found on line, I think it was called 'Garden Gate.'

Joe's mom- That quilt is stunning. That sashing looks like it could be really unforgiving if a seam got a bit uneven, It looks flawless. You should be proud.
