I have a thin carpet that really cleans up nicely with the broom type vacumn I have for the upstairs rooms. Hard surface flooring really is easier to keep clean and neat but I find my roller chair slipped away from my behind when I went to sit down and a few times I missed the seat completly and landed on the floor. Too old to take a fall without breaking something so the carpet stays as long as I am using a roller chair.
