Default Let's get this party rolling!

    WEEK 2
Here we go. I would guess that everyone has a huge pile of scraps they are waiting to start to chop up!

From scraps or charms, cut 52 blocks that measure 3-1/2” by 4-1/2”, the more variety, the more you will like your topper.

From fabric A, cut 7 pieces that measure 1-1/2” wide, and are WOF. (Set the remainder aside for later.) Cut these strips into 4-1/2” x 1-1/2” pieces, you will need 52 pieces. Or cut into one of your fat quarters.
Take one strip of 1-1/2” x 4-1/2” fabric and sew it to the long side of one block as shown. Use accurate ¼” seams. Make 52 of these blocks. Press seams to side of your choice; just be consistent in your pressing. Blocks will be 4-1/2” square. Chain stitch these pieces, I find it easier and faster than doing one at a time.

I just was thinking that maybe I confused you with heading in my posting this morning. I titled it Week 2 -- which it is because last Friday was the first posting. However, in my original posting I said this would take 4 weeks ending on 2/28. Actually that will make it week 5, so calling today week 2 clue is ok. You still will get a total of 4 clues to make your top. Sorry for any confusion

Man, for some reason i was not notified when Judy posted! I have been waiting all morning for the Cloo. I stepped off the train for a Nathan's foot long, and almost missed the train. Glad i got back on in time! It always takes me extra long fixing my hotdog just right with mustard, catsup and sweet relish, yummmmmy ! Hope i don't drip any onto the scraps! I am soon to be a cuttin' fool! Woo woo, Cloo, cloo! Now I'm thinking i need to make this in greens for my ddil who's birthday is march 15th. She loves table toppers ! And she actually has a table! My only table is my cutting table, yup, totally devoted to quilting here! My living room is wall to wall quilt stuff. So our living space is basically the family room. Works well for the two of us. Dh is happy to have me happy and gave up the house without a whimper! Such a good guy! If you'd like to see the glamorous gift he gave me during the last power outage look at the thread "no snow, nor sleet ". Ah living the high life and train cruising, too! Lol
