But I'm almost sad that your beautiful lavender lady is not out on a table alone so all her beauty can show.

GrannieAnnie, I have 40 vintage and antique sewing machines and this was an experiment my DH did to see how it would look. It did not look good before but is beautiful now. Thanks for the nice comments.

Just keep on going. They say the more you practice, the better you get. Keep this sewing that you started with, so you can compare it to all the rest you are doing in the future. That way you can see the improvement as you go. Looks to me like you both are very, very creative!

I think you would be very happy with groovy boards for edge designs.
Your husband did a nice job on this project.
