I use a piece of very fine steel wool (buy at hardware) then I wrap it fibrefil to stuff the pincushions. The steel wool keeps your pins sharp!

Look what I received in the pincushion swap. One for each of my sewing spots.

The scouring pad idea is such a good idea. I have made many like that. They are great to have right next to your machine.

i just got my pin cushion from tam...moo today. i don't have a camera but let me describe it. it's a cute sitting bear with his hands over his head holding a pincushion with little tiny flower buttons all around and a red cardinal bird. I also must mention that i got a bunch of nicely colored head pins and a cute applique of a sewing machine with a quilt that i paln to make into a magnet for my sewing room.
    thank you again, it's adorable

I got the most unexpected package in the mail yesterday. It was from Dotty. I love the printed material with the different fruits and little tart pans. I hope to find some time this week to make up some pincushions in them. Thank you so much. I was thinking the other day that I should go buy some material just like you sent. You must be a mind reader. Will post some pictures when I get them made. Thanks again,
    Barb

I mailed my pincushion to my partner on Tuesday. She should get it by Saturday!

Here is my swap gift from donna 873. When you see what I made her, you will see that we were a great match! The wristlet is almost too pretty for pins.

    Deserves a better photo!
